Mission Statement:

The Bristol Technical Education Center believes all students can enhance their trajectory in life. We provide a safe and structured learning environment where students obtain confidence, employment, and trade and professional skills through learning and support. In this way, we equip students with the necessary tools to respond to the economic needs of the community.

About:

Bristol Technical Education Center is located in Bristol, Connecticut. We have about 150 students from 42 towns and enroll grades 11 and 12 and also offer adult education.

At BTEC, students learn a technology and become part of our family-like community. Students in grades 11 and 12, as well as adult learners (high school diploma or GED), attend our full-time day programs and complete hours towards certification in their area of study.

Work-Based Learning (WBL) allows a student to work for an employer during their trade instructional time. Students not only receive credit toward their career technology, but also get paid.

CTECS has the unique ability to complete construction jobs off-campus, on both residential homes and commercial properties.

We offer a wide range of services to the public at a fraction of the market price. Providing students with real projects for real customers here in Connecticut, and delivering high-quality products to them.
