Bristol TEC Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2025

Bristol Technical Education Center (BTEC) is now accepting applications for fall 2025 – 2026 school year.  Students entering grades 11 and 12 and adult learners with an interest in the trades are eligible to apply.

High school applicants can choose from 7 trade areas offered by the technical school. Trades include Automotive Technology; Culinary Arts; Health Technology; Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration; Robotics and Automation; Precision Machining; and Welding and Metal Fabrication.  

Post-Graduates can choose from 5 trade areas offered by the technical school.  Trades include Automotive Technology; Culinary Arts; Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration; Precision Machining; and Welding and Metal Fabrication.  

At BTEC, students learn a technology and become part of our family-like community. Students in grades 11 and 12, as well as adult learners, attend our full-time day programs and complete hours towards certification in their area of study. Unlike CTECS’ other technical high schools, BTEC high school students begin their day at their sending school where they attend class to fulfill academic requirements towards graduation. They are enrolled at both BTEC and their sending high school district.  High school students can also participate in after-school athletics offered at their sending school. Both high school students and adult learners will receive a BTEC certificate.

Unique to the BTEC experience are the production projects and hands-on career development experience students gain through partnerships with local companies through the Work-Based Learning program. During the school day, students may also participate in Production Work where outside customers hire the school for specific jobs such as soldering and brazing, or catering a five-course meal. These experiences provide students with better preparation when transitioning into the workforce or higher education.
